Exfoliate

Peeling and scrubs are effective methods for removing dead skin cells from the surface of the skin. When these cells build up, the skin can feel uneven, dull, and pores become more easily clogged.

Regular exfoliation stimulates the skin's natural renewal process, resulting in clearer, smoother, and healthier skin with enhanced radiance. Proper exfoliation also improves the skin's ability to absorb subsequent products.

Different Types of Peeling & Scrubs

Physical Exfoliation (Scrubs) – Contains small grains or crystals that physically scrub away dead skin cells. Provides immediate softness and is suitable for normal to resilient skin. Should be used with caution on sensitive or acne-prone skin.

Chemical Peeling (AHA/BHA/PHA) – Consists of acids that dissolve the bonds between dead skin cells and stimulate cell renewal.

AHA (glycolic acid, lactic acid) works on the skin's surface to improve skin tone and texture.

BHA (salicylic acid) is oil-soluble, deeply cleanses the pores, and is particularly well-suited for acne-prone skin.

PHA is a gentler acid that is ideal for sensitive skin.

Enzyme Peeling – Contains enzymes from fruits like papaya, pineapple, or pumpkin that gently dissolve dead skin cells. Perfect for sensitive skin that does not tolerate grains or stronger acids.

Clinical/Advanced Peels – Performed by an aesthetician or a dermatologist and contains higher concentrations of active ingredients such as TCA, retinol, or phenol. These treatments can improve deeper skin concerns like pigmentation, acne scars, and signs of aging.

Exfoliation comes in many varieties – from mild enzyme treatments to powerful clinical acids. The right peeling is always selected based on skin type, needs, and desired results to deliver the best possible effect for the skin.
